At the meeting on Monday 27th April members viewed a digital presentation of images from the Royal Photographic Society's Nature Group Annual Exhibition. Split into two sections, digital images and prints, there was a comprehensive selection of pictures covering all aspects of wildlife: animals, insects, birds, plants and fungi. Members commented that there were a number of very similar images showing the same subject matter and whilst there were some truly stunning pictures, some were quite ordinary. There were a number that showed a "bird on a stick", something that judges always advise us to avoid.
At the close of the evening, the Chairman reminded members that the next meeting on 11th May is the members' images critique evening - bring your prints and digital images for constructive criticism by your fellow members.
