Third Competition of the Season

Members met on Monday 20th March for the penultimate competition of the season. The theme was Open and attracted a variety of differing subjects both in colour and monochrome and ranged from landscapes to some interesting creative work.
Our Judge for the evening was a long standing friend of the Club, Maureen Dennis APAGB, from Braunton. Maureen had agreed to judge "Off the Cuff" this time, not previously viewing any of the work submitted.
The audience enjoyed this as neither the judge or the members knew what was coming up next and this added to the suspense, especially when we had the occasional "Wow" on first sight of some images. We all appreciated her constructive comments and took these on board.
Following the break, we were treated to a short selection of her own work from "Maureen's Photo Album". This covered a variety of themes over the years and included many species of birds, mammals, fungi and flowers. Locations from Devon, the Lake District and Scotland were also included. Finally visiting the Great Dorset Steam Fair, soaking up the atmosphere of a bygone age. .
Everyone had a first class evening, with first class images and a first class speaker.
The Winners can be found on the Competitions page.
