Second Competition of the 2015/16 Season

The new year commenced on Monday 4th January when members returned from the Christmas break for the eagerly awaited judging of the set subject competition, "Isolation".
To Judge this for us, the Chairman welcomed back a long standing friend of the club, Mr George Reekie DPAGB ABPE from Taunton.
George had agreed to Judge this time "off the cuff", not previously having viewed the entries. He started by outlining his expectations for this subject and would be looking for impact and interpretation of the theme. Following helpful and constructive remarks on the work submitted, he placed the final images and awards. He commented that for a small club the standard of our work and presentation was to be congratulated.
Following the coffee break, George had very kindly brought along some of his work in the form of a mini talk on how we should think about our image taking and the importance of good planning and preparation to achieve the desired effect. This gave us all a lot of food for thought and everyone agreed it had been a very good start to 2016.
The winners can be found on the Competitions page.
